Introducing baby David Channing!

David Channing Trebas was born on November 11, 2012, at 12:45pm. He weighed slightly over 8 pounds, and was 19 3/4 inches long. He was born with a head of black hair, and was very alert from the start. Labor went fairly smoothly, considering that David wasn't in the right position to make an entrance. He was sunny-side-up, which would explain why we were both so uncomfortable. Anyhow, I ended up having pretty intense back pain the entire time, and not even an epidural would take that away. After 12 hours, we were finally able to meet our little boy, and he was definitely worth the pain!

His induction was actually scheduled for the 13th, but he decided to come out before being evicted. :) My mom had already flown in from Utah, which was a tremendous help. She was happy to hold that baby!

Jordon and I immediately fell in love with this little guy, and Olivia has learned to love him in time. :)

How could you not fall  in love with that face?

Shortly after my mom headed back to Utah, Grammy Julie was able to come visit. She also was happy to get her baby "fix" and we loved having her! Olivia was happy to have a little more attention coming her way too. Having been an only child for 3 years, it has been a bit of an adjustment for her, not having our undivided attention.

Grammy Julie was here to decorate our little Christmas tree with us, as we listened to Kenny G, and ate white chocolate fudge Oreos.

Soon after Grammy had to go back home, it snowed here in Plano! It actually stuck for a bit too!

This was the view from our patio. And this is what Olivia thought of the snow.

That's my girl! :) Pretty to look at, but I hate how cold and wet it is. Anyhow, the snow melted by the end of the day, and a week or so later, we had MORE company! Grammy and Grampy Trebas, and Aunt Emily came in from California, and we had a great time with them!

While they were here, we went to the mall and took the kids to meet Santa! I have to say, this is exactly how Santa should look.

I also have to say that we make some pretty cute kids. :) Having family here, we decided to do David's baby blessing at Church. He was a little over a month old, and looking sharp!

Because I'm his mom, I will now post a few of my favorite pictures of David from the past 4 months. :)

Love my boys!

Ready for church!

Our cutie, at 3 months.

Four months old. At his check-up, he weighed 17 lbs, 3 oz, and was 23 inches long. BIG boy, wearing 9 month clothes! He even has rolls on legs! ADORABLE!

Love our sweet kids. Liv is a really good big sis.

She is also LOVING Preschool, and her favorite little friends.

This picture will bring you up to speed. Jordon is currently in San Francisco, and will be for the next week. Over the weekend, he was able to meet up with his Mom, and Papa Channing. Why is he in San Francisco? Because he will be attending GDC (Game Developer's Conference) this week, networking, hopefully finding a job, and even PRESENTING his latest game, Voodudes, at an Intel booth. Intel actually sought his team out and asked them to present at the conference, which is a pretty big deal. Last year, Diablo 3 (I believe) was presented there. That's legit. :) Anyhow, Jordon has spent the last few weeks preparing by printing off business cards, updating his website (check it out at, revamping his resume, and by just being awesome! I'm so proud of him and I'm sure that this week will bring nothing but good things.

On that note, Jordon will graduate from SMU in May and we will hopefully have found a job by then!:) Who knows where that will take us, but I'll keep you posted!

Fall is finally here!

I figure I'm overdo for another post. The weather is finally cooling off here in Texas, which is a welcome change after the hot and humid summer. I love this season. November will bring some excitement for our family as well. Liv will turn 3, baby David will join our family, my mom is coming to visit on the second and will be staying for a few weeks, we'll celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary, AND Thanksgiving with more family! It's a busy month! That's why we'll actually be celebrating Olivia's birthday this Saturday with a few of her friends from Church and Preschool. Pictures to come!

And yes, Olivia is now in Preschool. A few months ago, several of my mommy friends and I decided to form our own Preschool, to give our kids social and academic opportunities without it costing us an arm and a leg! SO, I was the teacher in September, and we had Preschool every Tuesday morning in our apartment. We do circle time, snack time, a lesson and activity, and then let the kids play. It works out really well. The curriculum comes from a website called There are five kids participating, and Liv is the youngest (the rest are already 3). They all seem to love it, and have become good friends as a result. It's so cute to watch them interact!

This was taken on her first day actually going to Preschool somewhere else.

Random thing about Liv. She's obsessed with rubber duckies and has about 14 of them. Thanks to Grandma Hitchcock, this is the latest addition. :)

Olivia decided that she wants to be Curious George for Halloween, so Grammy and Grampy Trebas found and sent this darling monkey suit! We're still working on a costume for Dad. She wants him to be the Man with the Yellow Hat. When I asked her what I should be, she said "A car." How flattering.:)

Speaking of cars, this is how I looked at 32 weeks. I'm now at 37 (full-term!) weeks, and I think that I've now reached the point where I should be a BUS instead of a car for Halloween.

Kidding. Kind of. I do feel huge this time around, and incredibly uncomfortable. I'll let you in on a little secret. I HATE being pregnant. There is no "I feel awesome," or "I feel cute," part of it for me. At this point, I can hardly sleep, I have to get up to use the bathroom at least 3 times a night, people keep telling me how cute my waddle is, and I can only manage to waddle around for about 30 minutes before contractions set in. I know it's for a good cause, which is why I've chosen to experience round two of child-having. :) I'm also grateful just to have been able to have a family, and not have any complications during pregnancy. I know that that isn't always the case, and many people I love have struggled to have kids. My heart goes out to them. We have been very blessed.

On a lighter note, Olivia is excited to meet baby David, and talks about him a lot, and how she can't wait to play with him. She's also excited for her Minnie/Mickey Mouse clubhouse party this Saturday! As I said, pictures to come! Hope that all of you are doing well! Much love!

It's a boy!

I don't know if I've mentioned this on here, but we are expecting Trebas baby number 2 this November!
We're having a little boy, and his name will be David. Still working on a middle name. We have it narrowed down to three possibilities: David Channing, David Charles, or David Lawrence. We like them all, so at least we have options! Here's what the baby bump looked like a few weeks back. I'm now 7 months pregnant and a little bigger.:)

We've had an eventful Spring and Summer. Jordon's mom, Julie, came out to visit us in May, and we were able to celebrate Mother's Day with her! It was so fun having her around and we were sad when she had to go back home.

It's funny how Liv lets Grammy do her hair, but I can't do a thing with it.:)

When July rolled around, Olivia and I packed up and went to visit my family in Utah. They flew us out for my 30th (yikes-when did I get this old?) birthday, and we were grateful for an excuse to spend time with them and to escape the Texas heat and humidity! The weather was beautiful there, and Liv enjoyed spending time with her "Groseli and Grospapi." We were able to go to the Dinosaur Museum together, and we even rode a tram into downtown Salt Lake. The new City Creek Mall is beautiful. Liv made this hat at the Dinosaur museum.:)

She loved the dinosaurs, and she was really excited about the "train."

My mom took me to get my hair done while we were visiting. Twinners!

We loved our time in Utah, but it was nice to get home to Jordon. His summer break lasted for a month and started as soon as Liv and I got home. We were home for less than a week, and my good friend, Jessica Simms came to visit us during that time. It was SO great to see her and celebrate her birthday.

I've known this girl for 10 years now! I love her! I also love the mint shakes that we had at Red Robin's. Mmm. Sadly, our visit came to an end quickly, but the upside is that we left for Southern California to visit MORE family! Also, we went from horrendous weather in Plano to 75 degree weather in Irvine. It was rough.:) Grammy and Grampy Trebas watched Olivia for two days, while Jordon and I went to Catalina Island to celebrate my birthday. It was SO nice to have some time to ourselves, and the island was beautiful.

We took a ferry to get out to the island. So fun!

I love this guy! Jordon has always been so good about planning fun adventures for us, throughout dating and our marriage. I would much rather go somewhere and create memories than get fancy gifts. He knows me well. When we got back from our little get-away, we had lots of fun with Jordon's parents, and sister, Emily. We went to Disneyland (Liv got to go twice), and Olivia was thrilled about Cars Land.

By the way, all three of Olivia's Grandma's are gorgeous! I'm sure you noticed.:)

Here we all are with Lightning McQueen. We also went to the fair. Olivia was MUCH braver than any of us expected her to be. She went on several rides by herself, but she wanted Aunt Emmy to ride with her whenever possible.:)

What a big girl! I can't believe that she'll be 3 in November!

She also got to ride on a real pony!

Anyhow, this little girl was spoiled rotten this summer, and Jordon and I felt pretty spoiled too, thanks to our parents! We love all of you, we appreciate you, and miss you already! Jordon started school again last week, and it's crazy to think that we'll start looking/applying for jobs in January. And we'll be a family of four by then! We're excited to meet baby David, and with the way this kid is measuring (he's a big boy), we're hoping he'll be here by late October! We're very blessed and excited for coming adventures!

Our third wedding anniversary!

Our wedding anniversary has come and gone, but I wanted to acknowledge that Jordon and I have been married for three wonderful years. I also realize that I haven't posted a single picture of our wedding day on this blog, and that isn't okay! SO, better late than never! Let's go back to the days when we were young and thin.:)

Although we may not be as young and thin as we were on that day, we're still in love, and happy to be together. And that is a wonderful thing. :)
